The problem with a self-hosted WordPress install is that futzing feels like creating — but it isn’t. Tweaking your theme, trying out new plugins, setting up accounts at Meegen or Demiloo or Blueshots or Fliptune (thanks, Web 2.0 name generator!), is just time spent not creating stuff. Futzing = procrastination.

Somebody should write a plugin that won’t give you admin access until you’ve written n posts. Let me go look for one…
